Fly fisheries I teach at in Somerset, Devon and Dorset

Set in a truly stunning location, if total peace and quiet is what you seek look no further. A series of 5 spring fed lakes stocked with high quality Rainbow and Brown trout. Plenty of room and you will often find you have the place to yourself on weekdays. This is an ideal beginners venue as the lakes are small so casting distance is not an issue.

 Toilet facilities, a fisherman's cabin with comfy seats and free tea and coffee and parking.

Easily reached from Yeovil, Dorchester, Weymouth and Blandford Forum. Highly recommended!

Located in the Quantock hills in North Somerset, Hawkridge is a 32 acre reservoir run by Wessex Water. Fly fishing for Rainbow trouts, Spartic, Tiger Trout and Browns is available from March to October.

Bank fishing is easily accessible and there is a fleet of 8 row boats electric outboards are permitted. There is parking and a fishing lodge with toilets and tables and chairs.

A really pretty and well run fly fishery near the village of Spaxton, easily accessible from Taunton, Bridgewater and Minehead.

Lots of good B&B's, Hotels and campsites within a few miles drive.

I fish / teach at Hawkridge a lot and know the lake very well whether it be boat or bank fishing.

Located next to the river Exe on the Somerset / Devon border is Exevalley Fly fishing, Exebridge near Dulverton. Two lakes one is half an acre "lobbs" the other is 2 1/2 acres "Anchor" There is also a trout farm on site that stocks hard fighting fin perfect fish across the UK.

The trout are of exceptional quality expect to catch Rainbows, Browns and Spartic up to 14.5 lb! with the average around 3lb.

Toilet facilities on site as well as parking. This fishery is easily reached from Tiverton, Exeter, Taunton and Barnstaple.

The Anchor Inn hotel is a stones through away, there is a great campsite in the village as well as other accomodation nearby.

A really pretty small trout fishery, wheelchair friendly, with lots of picnic benches and well kept grounds.
